Front Post & Back Post Double Crochet
I did not make up this stitch but the reason I am featuring it is because I have seen many questions about it on the mailing lists that I subscribe to so I figured why not feature a stitch that is widely popular. It is a very versatile stitch and can be used in any type of pattern.
It can be used to make sampler squares, dishcloths, sweaters, afghans, placemats or any pattern that is done in rows or in rounds. The possibilities for projects with this stitch is endless.

Random Quick Tip!
Fix Kid's ClothesIf your kid's clothes have holes, one way to be able to wear them still is to applique cute cutout shape onto the hole and put a liner on the back side of the fabric. You can get the shapes by using cookie cutters as a template. Then just use the satin stitch on your sewing machine to applique the patch on. If the hole is in a place where the machine cannot reach, you can use a fusible web product to fuse the patch onto the fabric then use a hand satin stitch to cover the edges. Or you can use a fabric paint to cover the edges.
